Senior Research Associate
Chris is a Senior Research Associate in the Ageing, Sarcopenia and Multimorbidity (ASM) Research Theme within the NIHR Newcastle BRC. He has a background as a sport and exercise scientist. In the early part of his career he concentrated on sports performance before he began to focus on work involving older adults during his PhD. His research interests primarily relate to the influence of lifestyle factors (e.g. physical activity, exercise, diet) on health outcomes, in particular muscle health and physical performance, in older age.
