NIHR Newcastle BRC PhD Student
After completing her BSc in Psychology at Teesside University, Rachel pursued an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and Human Neuroimaging at the University of Sheffield. Now studying as an NIHR BRC Newcastle PhD student, Rachel is researching Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), and is currently working on a scoping review on this topic. Her research focusses on mapping PMDD symptomology across the menstrual cycle, including mood, cognition, and physical symptoms, to explore symptom fluctuation within the menstrual cycle. She aims to conduct an ecological momentary assessment study and a task-based study focussing on key symptoms as highlighted by the ecological momentary assessment and scoping review.
