Research Assistant  

Kirsty Olsen is a research assistant who has worked on many research studies focused on Lewy Body Dementia, the most recent being CogSleep, which is investigating the link between sleep and cognitive fluctuations, and ENLIST-UK, a longitudinal bio-marker study. She is currently working on the Michael J. Fox Foundation funded project ‘Identifying a method to exclude amygdala predominant Lewy body pathology from trials of alpha-synuclein targeting therapies’. 

She has a specialist interest in driving and dementia, and has contributed to the publication of a clinical decision pathway and a Consensus Guideline for Clinicians in this area. Recently she has completed a PhD on ‘Improving the assessment of driving safety in cognitive impairment’ and aims to continue research in this subject.
