NIHR Newcastle BRC PhD Student

Angeliki completed a BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology at Glasgow Caledonian University and undertook an MSc in Infection Biology at the University of Glasgow where she explored her interest in host-pathogen interactions.
She is now a NIHR Newcastle BRC PhD student working on the development of an immunocompetent organotypic model of the oral mucosa to act as a tool in investigating C. albicans-oral mucosa interactions occurring during infection and treatment with novel therapeutics.
