As part of the Translational and Clinical Research Institute, Jenny is working on multiple projects, including ActivDem and ActivDyad. Both projects utilise digital technology to help understand ageing, neurodegenerative disorders, human movement and mobility.

ActivDem is a longitudinal project which aims to determine the psychosocial determinants of ambulatory activity decline in dementia patients. ActivDyad is a feasibility study which aims to develop digital methods to assess the degree of independence and interdependence in ambulatory activity outcomes among older adult couples.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Processing of digital technology data from real-world recordings
  • Quantitative analysis of gait characteristics, patterns, and variability
  • Qualitative analysis of physical activity and its influences
  • Production of high quality publications to prestigious scientific conferences and journals
