Senior Research Physiotherapist
Heather Hunter has worked in the Clinical Ageing Research Unit (CARU) since March 2015 as a senior Research Physiotherapist
She specialises in neurology and older people’s medicine and have worked in the NHS since qualifying over 30 years ago. She predominantly works with the Brain and Movement Group who specialise in the assessment of gait and balance in laboratory and real world settings. She also provides support to commercial and non-commercial studies based in CARU and in the community. She supports the movement disorders clinical service, which helps recruitment to studies but also translates rehabilitation research evidence to clinical care in a timely manner.
