The Multiple Long-Term Conditions Cross-NIHR Collaboration (MLTC CNC) and the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre (HRC) Network have partnered to launch a new Industry Collaboration Challenge Fund, creating opportunities for researchers, innovators and industry partners to work together to address the growing challenge of multiple long-term conditions.

Co-developed by the MLTC CNC and HRC Network, the fund aims to stimulate collaboration across NIHR infrastructure, generating new evidence, innovative methodologies, proof-of-concept solutions and policy insights. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to tackling complex health challenges through partnership working, innovation and industry engagement.

By bringing together expertise from across research, healthcare and industry, the fund demonstrates how different parts of NIHR infrastructure can work together to maximise the impact of public investment in research and accelerate the development and adoption of innovations that improve outcomes and quality of life.

Professor Avan Aihie Sayer, Co-Chair of the Multiple Long-Term Conditions (MLTC) Cross-NIHR Collaboration (CNC), NIHR BRC Newcastle said:

The challenge fund will support a number of short-term collaborative projects involving MLTC CNC workstreams, cross-cutting groups, NIHR HealthTech Research Centres, and industry helping to build new partnerships and explore innovative approaches to tackling multiple long-term conditions.
